Calcite on Quartz Roncari Quatty Connecticut U.S.A.
Sweet pink Calcite Crystal on a carpet of reddish Quartz from the very interesting locality, with many tiny balls of Hematite covering Calcite Crystal and Quartz carpet. The color of the both species is mostly likely caused by Hematite, the size of the Calcite Crystal is approximately 3.5 cm, the Quartz Crystals are up to 1 cm, overall approximately 6 x 4 x 5 cm.
