United States Scrip Notes Schaefferstown Water Company
Two 25 Cent notes, both split and rejoined at the center, dated Sept. 7 1842 and signed by Assistant Treasurer Wm. W. Weigley; in addition there are four Halves of other company notes, 12 1/2 Cents; 37 1/2 Cents; and two 50 Cent pieces. The original company founded in the mid 1700s was one of the first public water companies in the United States, hence of considerable historic importance, Poor to Good.
