Franklin Delano Roosevelt Norway Presentation Album
A collection of issues from 1898-1938, given to the President by Crown Prince Olav of Norway on behalf of the Philatelic Society of Oslo. The title page is signed by the President and dated Hyde Park April 30 1939 in his hand, also signed by Prince Olav. There is also a typed memorandum from F.D.R. relative to the donation. The collection contains a variety of Post Horn issues, 1905-08 surcharges, 1907-18 King Haaken, Rampant Lion and some Pictorial issues, Postage Dues and Officials are also present. All appear to be Lightly Hinged with original acetate protective sleeves still in place, front cover still bears the lot ticket of no. 234 Apr. 1 1946 from this fabulous archive.
