Icaronycteris Index Fossil Bat
Kemmerer Warfield Quarry, Green River, Wyoming
This exceptional specimen was the third fossil bat found in the Green River Formations, living approximately 52.2 million years ago. Showing the bat both positive and negative, one plate exhibits excellent skull and teeth structure with the images measuring 2 1/4 x 2 inches. Mirror images of a 4 1/2 inch knightea which is mostly complete on the right plate. Measurements of left and right plates are 7 x 4 1/2 inches and 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
