Poebrotherium Camel Skull
Brule Formation, White River Badlands, Custer County, South Dakota, Oligocene age
These pioneering mammals were noted for the great elongation of their neck vertebrae and limbs. They first evolved in North America and later spread to northern parts of Africa and the Middle East, some 33-23 million years ago. This museum quality specimen has great definition. Height 4 inches, width graduates from 1 to 2 inches, depth 7 inches. Some diligent and careful restoration has been completed using original bone fragments. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
