Centering one cushion-shaped mixed-cut sapphire approximately 6.12 cts., flanked by 2 trilliant-cut diamonds approximately .80 ct., signed Cartier, no. 8868385. Size 5 1/2.
With AGL report no. CS 1077939 stating that the sapphire is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, no gemological evidence of heat or clarity enhancement.

Sapphire: deep vivid blue with slight violet hue, crosshatch of silk in table and on one side of stone, visible with loupe, several minor abrasions and nicks on table edge and facet junctions, several minor nicks on table edge, chip on girdle of side of stone, very lively.
