Antique Double Strand Gold, Cabochon Garnet and Enamel Bracelet
Composed of stylized scale links joined by two scrolled links applied with royal blue enamel, centering one oval foil-backed cabochon garnet approximately 14.0 x 18.0 mm., flanked by tapering gold balls, quartered by engraved trefoil motif plaques and gold and blue enamel ribbons, reverse with glazed compartment containing hair, with maker's mark, circa 1840, approximately 18.3 dwts. Length 7 1/8 inches. With fitted box.

Cabochon garnet: deep blackish orangey-red, foil-backed, minor inclusions, several scratches, slightly visible to eye, several small nicks, translucent, very good polish.
Minor enamel loss. Minor tarnish on several links and clasp.
Overall good condition. Center width 1 1/16 inch. Bracelet width 1/4 inch.
