18 & 14 kt. rose & yellow gold, 35 cushion-shaped, round & square-cut rubies, 61 round & single-cut diamonds ap. 2.45 cts., 52 baguette diamonds ap. 1.55 cts., bracelet signed Cartier, clip-brooch with French assay mark & obscured maker's mark, c. 1940, ap. 101.6 dwts. Inner cir. 6 1/4 inches, adjustable.
Accompanied by a copy of a letter dated November 5, 1968 from Marjorie Merriweather Post's secretary noting that she is gifting this brooch and earrings to her granddaughter, Mrs. Peter (Marjorie D.) Dye.
