Queen Anne Cherrywood Bonnet-Top High Chest
Connecticut, mid-18th century
The bonnet with two interior drawers, above a pinwheel carved drawer flanked by small drawers all over three long drawers, all flanked by fluted scrolled pilasters; the lower section with a long drawer over a pinwheel carved drawer and two flanking small drawers, the arched and shaped apron with turned pendants and all on cabriole legs. Height 7 feet 1/2 inch, width 40 3/4 inches, depth 19 1/2 inches.
