George II Mahogany Open Armchair
Second quarter of the 18th century
The scroll-carved dipped cresting above a shaped backsplat and armrests on outscrolled supports, the overupholstered seat centered by a 'green man' mask, raised on lion's mask-carved cabriole legs ending in paw feet. Height 38 1/2 inches (97.7 cm), width 27 inches (68.5 cm), depth 17 1/2 inches (44.4 cm).
