The padded backrest within a scroll-carved frame above a loose-cushioned bowfronted seat flanked by armrests, raised on tapering legs. Height 34 1/2 inches (87.5 cm), width 25 inches (63.5 cm), depth 18 inches (45.7 cm).
Provenance:
Comte and Comtesse André de Limur, Washington, D.C. acquired in the 1930s.
Comte and Comtesse Charles de Limur, San Francisco (by descent from the above, circa 1969).
By descent, sold Christie's, New York, January 8, 2013, lot 370.
