Set of Twelve Italian Neoclassical Painted and Parcel-Gilt Armchairs
Late 18th century
Each upholstered a chassis, the oval backrest within a guilloche-carved frame surmounted by roundel-carved cresting, the drop-in bowfronted seat with similarly carved rails flanked by padded armrests and raised on fluted legs. Height 40 1/2 inches (1.02 m), width 36 3/4 inches (93.3 cm), depth 21 inches (53.3 cm).
