Appears to be in generally good condition; the canon barrel is hinged and is movable; there are spot discoloration marks to the flat brass/brass-plated plate and there are numerous small nicks and dings to the rim edges along this metal base plate; the swivel magnifying glass may be made of plastic rather than glass; the lens is scratched and there is a large smudge, possibly dried glue, at the center of the lens on one side, that now gives this lens a clouded appearance; the brass bar pin that should be protruding on the left side of the magnifying glass is missing; the wood base has split cracks visible on the top side; there are some green and brown protective felt "pads" affixed to various parts of the underside
