New York: Random House, 1949-66. First editions, each a stated first printing. Eleven titles (in 13 volumes) in the original publisher's cloth of issue, no dust jackets present, each about 8 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Some fading to spines and minor soiling and wear, split to the slipcase on Sermons.
A fine selection of first printings of O'Hara's novels, each inscribed and many with a notation of "21". Comprises: A Rage to Live, 1949; Sweet and Sour, 1954; Sermons and Soda Water, 1960, three volumes in slipcase, inscribed in the first volume only; Ourselves to Know, 1960; The Cape Cod Lighter, 1962; The Big Laugh, 1962; The Hat in Bed, 1963; The Horse Knows the Way, 1964; The Lockwood Concer, 1965; Waiting for Winter, 1966; and My Turn, 1966.
