Publisher's green cloth, gilt-lettered spines, partially unopened, in slipcase. 9 1/4 x 6 inches (24 x 15 cm); xxiv, 1-482, [1]; viii, [1], 483-892; [iv], [893]-1029 pp.; frontispieces in volumes one and two, folding map in rear pocket of volume three, 8 plates. Extremities bumped, cloth a bit rubbed with some minor surface soiling, interiors fine.
