Russian Silver Inkstand
Maker's mark indistinct, Riga, 1893
Oval, on four feet cast with S- and C-scrolls and centering a mask, the border centering a plaque engraved: 1886-1896, supporting a central tazza flanked by two wells, fitted with later glass shades, and two winged female figures holding wreaths. Height 6 1/4 inches (15.9 cm), length 15 inches (38 cm), approximately 32 ounces (990 grams), all in.
