Vase 1: gilt wear to knop; metal mounts probably later; porcelain drilled for metal mounts; chip to underside of lid rim, approximately 1 1/2 inches, hairline crack visible on interior rim of body emanating from a screw, approximately 2 inches across, glaze gaps and chips to base at foot, overall average enamel and gilt loss, some areas with inpainting; Vase 2: gilt wear to knop, hairline crack visible on interior and exterior of rim extending down into body approximately 3 inches, average enamel and gilt wear with some inpainting, some damage and loss to metal hinge; diameter approximately 15 1/2 inches (39,3 cm)
