Irish George II Mahogany Tea Table
The rectangular top with molded edge above a shaped frieze with slides to the sides, raised on cabriole legs headed by birds' heads with leaves in their beaks over acanthus carving and ending in claw-and-ball feet. Height 28 1/2 inches (72.4 cm), width 36 inches (91.5 cm), depth 23 inches (58.5 cm).

Overall good condition, top with sunfading, repaired break to one corner of gallery, separation to one corner, top possibly associated, scuffs to edges, one end molding replaced; base darker in color, with darker varnish - often found on Irish furniture, which was applied in the 19th century, underside with later blocks, slides possibly later, old marks and scratches, scuffs to feet.
