Louis XV Ormolu-Mounted Kingwood, Bois Satiné, Tulipwood and Parquetry Commode stamped M. Criaerd
Mid-18th century
The marble serpentine top above a conforming bombé case fitted with two drawers sans traverse, the pierced ruffled mounts with scrolling berried vines and scrolls, the keeled stiles with pierced mounts continuing to chutes and ending in scrolled sabots; stamped twice M. CRIAERD, the mounts stramped with theC-couronné poinçon. Height 34 1/2 inches (87 cm), width 51 1/2 inches (131 cm), depth 22 3/8 inches (56.8 cm).
