Italian Neoclassical Gilt-Metal-Mounted Parquetry Commode
Late 18th century
The marble top with rounded front corners above a conforming case with three freize drawers above two long drawers sans traverse, the rounded stiles headed by acanthus-cast fluted mounts and ending in sabots. Height 33 inches (83.8 cm), width 50 inches (127 cm), depth 23 1/2 inches (59.7 cm).

Good restored condition, later marbler top, replaced small sections to banding of drawers, escutcheons and handles, small areas of replacements to veneers, rippling to veneers of sides commensurate with age and condition, old marks and scratches, dings to legs, scuffs to feet.
