Irish George II Mahogany and Grey Fossil Marble Top Table
The grey fossil marble rectangular top with re-entrant corners above a diaper-work frieze centered by a lion's mask flanked by foliate-carved swags, the sides with drapery swags, raised on cabriole legs ending in squared paw feet. Height 32 1/2 inches (82.5 cm), width 58 inches (147.3 cm), depth 28 inches (71.2 cm).

Good restored condition, old Kilkenny marble top possibly reshaped at front corners, surface cleaned and lacking patination, swags probably later, traces of black varnish to tops of legs and feet.
