Russian Silver-Gilt Tea Service
Maker's mark Cyrillic PS, St. Petersburg, 1848
Comprising a teapot, hot water pot, cream jug and covered sugar bowl; each of baluster form, with an applied oval cartouche engraved with a double coat-of-arms, with scrolled handles and a foliate finial, with later painted inventory number. Height of hot water pot 6 3/4 inches (17 cm.), total approximately 55 ounces (1,711 grams).
