Russian Jeweled Gold Covered Box
Vladimir Finikov, St. Petersburg, circa 1895
Circular, the domed cover applied with flowering tendrils set with cabochon rubies and rose-cut diamonds, one side engraved with the Russian Imperial crown above an initial, centering a vacant well within a rose-cut diamond border, the base with spiral-gadrooned exterior, the interior engraved with an inscription. Diameter 2 1/8 inches (5.4 cm).
