George II Sterling Silver Kettle Stand
Lewis Pantin, London, circa 1730
Shaped circular with openwork scrolling frieze centering classical medallions, on three scroll feet. Diameter 8 inches (20 cm), approximately 26 ounces.
A kettle by Pantin with the same stand was sold Fellows, Birmingham, England, June 22, 2015, lot 91. Another similar kettle stand by Pantin dated 1736 was sold from the collection of Hilmar Reksten, Christie's, London, May 22, 1991, lot 59.

Good condition overall; good heavy gauge; clearly hallmarked underside and with scratch weight 27=01; good detail to decoration and to portrait medallions; wick shaft in cover of burner dented and showing solder to top from possible repair
