The molded cornice above a pair of double-hinged grille-inset glazed doors opening to adjustable shelves, on a molded plinth; the insides of two doors bearing the stamp JOHN TAYLOR & SON/MANUFACTURERS/EDINBURGH. Height 86 1/4 inches (291.2 cm), width 76 inches (193.1 cm), depth 17 1/4 inches (43.9 cm).
In 1852, John Taylor and Son were appointed Cabinet-makers and Upholsterers in Ordinary to Her Majesty the Queen at Edinburgh.
