Grand Duke George Mikhailovich: Group of Letters Related to the Russian Imperial Family and Romanian Royal Family, 1916
Comprising 21 letters addressed to his daughter, Princess Nina Georgievna, including: several letters describing visits of the family of Emperor Nicholas II to the Stavka at Mogilev in July and August; a letter dated July 8 which describes the arrival of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and the four grand duchesses at the Stavka; a letter dated July 24, which describes the visit of the Empress and the four grand duchesses at the Stavka to celebrate the birthday of Tsarevich Alexis; a letter dated August 25 which describes the arrival of the Empress at the Stavka to celebrate the Emperor assuming the role of supreme commander of the Russian Army.
