Marcilhac no. 2262, circa 1926-47
Of circular form, in colorless frosted glass, comprised of twelve individual curved segments decorated with an all-over leaf design, each signed R. LALIQUE and with a conforming bowl-shaped terminal, suspended from braided silk cords and a later frosted glass ceiling cap. Height overall 46 3/4 inches; height of shade 11 1/4 inches, diameter 19 1/2 inches.

appears to be in generally good condition; no apparent hairline cracks to any of the individual curved wedge-shaped panels or to the domed glass cap at the bottom; there are perhaps some small shallow chips and flake losses to the rim edges and possibly corner tips of the wedge-shaped glass panels, consistent with age, usage, design and handling; the glass domed element at the bottom does not appear to be signed; there is wear, rubbing and dulling to the nickel plating, consistent with age, usage and handling; the glass ceiling cap is a later replacement
