Additional Notes & Condition Report
Shades: the shades are pretty well matched, however, there are some differences, including one shade has more prominent optic ribbing and one shade is slightly more opaque than the other; each shade has some scattered small fleabite-size nicks to its fitter rim, not of great consequence; one shade has a few raised swirl lines on its surface on the interior side that can be felt when touched, which are in the making and not of any consequence; one shade has a small dark colored particle inclusion, at the surface, on the interior side, in the making, not of great consequence; no apparent hairline cracks, rim chips, etc.
Bronze Bases: the circular mounts at the top of each stem are now slightly misshapen and "out-of-round"; each base has a mottled green and chocolate brown colored patina; the patina is worn, particularly, where the stems would be handled; each retains three ball screws, which may or may not be original; neither base is electrified, i.e., intended for candle light and not modified or altered; one base has a copper colored disk or "plug" at the base of the hollow stem, however this "plug" is missing on the other candlestick; when the nozzles are removed, the top of one stem appears to be "in-the-round", however the top of the stem of the other base appears to be "out-of-round" and appears to have two pushed in areas to the top side edge (the patina does not appear to be distressed in this area); when the shades are in place, because the nozzles are now somewhat bent, the fitter rim of one glass shade is now exposed (visible)
