Additional Notes & Condition Report

Shade: appears to be in generally good condition; the shade is nice and tight; the shade is pretty much in the round (diameter is 20 1/4 across one side and 20 1/8 inches across the other side); there are some individual glass segments with hairline cracks, consistent with age, usage and handling; for instance, one dragonly has a stable (tight) hairline crack to two of its wings; the individual green colored glass segments that primarily comprise the background appear to be in good condition, i.e., free of hairline cracks, as well as the green colored areas between the wings of the dragonflies; the green and red colored glass cabochons appear to be in generally good condition (some have internal air bubbles); approximately ten of the small individual glass segments that comprise the geometric brick border and rim have hairline cracks; when viewed from the interior side, three of the glass segments are contained with leading that is patinated a mint green, which suggests thes three segments may be later glass replacements or substitutions (tow of segments are found as the large wing segments of two different dragonflies and the third segment is a glass segment between the dragonfly wing areas; if the glass segments are later replacements, they appear to be well-matched; the glass segments that comprise the upper (top) geometric border appear to be in good condition

Base: has four light sockets; the sockets are marked HUBBELL and are 250 watts; the on/off switches are marked LEVITON; the sockets were not tested to see if they are in working condition; the patina is a nice uniform mottled dark green and chocolate brown with slightly rust-orange colored highlights, notable, along the rim edges; the lamp sits nice and straight; diameter of ring mount (upper wheel) 4 1/4 inches; currently wired

Cap: may or may not be original; small ding/dent to the side; uniform mottled green and brown patina; with long threaded screw that allows the cap to be securely fastened to the top part of the lamp shaft
