Posen set comprising:
Comprising: fourteen dinner forks; eleven luncheon forks; six fish forks; eleven large tablespoons; twelve dessert spoons; twelve teaspoons; twenty-three dinner knives, each with a stainless steel blade; six fish knives, each with a plated blade; twelve luncheon or dessert knives, each with a stainless steel blade; each in an ornate scroll floral pattern and engraved BTH
Condition: Posen Set:
appears to be in generally good condition with the following noteworthy factors:
each piece in monogrammed and the monograms are consistent (an ornate three letter monogram); the handle on one teaspoon is slightly bent out of shape (and the end of the handle is worn and the detailing evident on the other handles is now gone) and there are differences to the curvature to the other spoon handles; there are a few hollow-handled pieces that have dings and dents to the handles, however, they are not of major significance (consistent with age, usage and handling); the plating on the blades of the fish knives is wearing away revealing a brass-colored tint; the stainless blades on the dinner and luncheon knives appear to be newer replacements and appear to be in good clean condition
