"Dickinson's approach is systematic, describing the haunts of each major species of wild game in East Africa including lion, kudu, oryx, eland and other plains game, particularly near the Guaso Nyiro and the River Tana. There is an excellent chapter on stalking buffalo accompanied by some marvelous photos of the author hunting a wounded buffalo in the swamp regions near lakes Solai and Baringo" (Czech).
