"Of the 23 chapters detailing vignettes from the author's life in Kenya and Tanzania are two chapters on lion hunting. Gontard's hunting partner was badly mauled by a lion near Arusha and barely survived the encounter. There is also smaller mention of hnting hippo and elephant" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 109.
