Publisher's cloth in dust jacket. 8 5/8 x 5 3/8 inches; xix, 366 pp.; frontispiece and plates after photographs, full-page map, double-page map printed on rear endpapers, half-title. Minor edgewear and rubbing to an overall fine jacket, cloth tips bumped, toning to endpapers.
Scarce in the dust jacket. Inscribed by the author to front free endpaper: "Olive Brown / With the author's compliements / and all good wishes / Frank Johnson / Xmas 1941". Czech, Africa, p. 143.
