N.p.: Privately printed, 1926. First edition. Original pictorial cloth. 8 7/8 x 5 7/8 inches; [viii], 315 pp.; plates after photographs. Cloth a bit mottled, spine ends bumped, interior clean.
"Grace King and her husband, a wealthy Minnesota banker, traveled to Kenya on safari in 1924. She was quite well acquainted with firearms, and purchased her heavy rifle from Dr. Richard Sutton. They established a base camp on the N'Goro Nderi river where they hunted lion, buffalo and a variety of plains game. Along the Guaso Nyiro, they bagged elephant and hippo. There is even an interesting chapter on the Ford (auto) in Africa" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 151.
