Publisher's green pictorial cloth gilt, in dust jacket. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches; xvi, 400 pp.; full-page map, frontispiece and illustrations after photographs. Clipped jacket a bit spotted with some loss and chipping to edges, cloth tips just touched, lightly and evenly toned thorughout.
"One of the most famous of all African hunting titles" (Czech). This first American edition is enlarged from the original UK edition of 1907, with some variation in the illustrations. Czech, Africa, pp. 213-214.
