"The author hunted in the area of the Ngorongoro Crater in British East Africa as well as numerous other venues within that region. He relates his experiences with elephant, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, buffalo and plains game including record puku. Reid looks perfectly dashing in one photo with pith helmet, double rifle and monocle all in place. He also wrote a number of novels to boot" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 231.
