"Stephens wrote two books on big game hunting under the Malet pseudonym, the other dealing with Indian sport. This work includes hunting elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, rhinoceros and the like based lightly on his own experiences, but mostly on those of such noted hunters as Samuel Baker, Arthur Neumann, Frederick Selous and many others who contributed letters and diary extracts. There are numerous errors in the text including Selous referred to as Selons, and Cotton Oswell as both Colton Oswell and Cotton Oswald. Tsk, tsk" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 179. The lot two titles.
