"Tjader's 1909 safari into British East Africa brought him to some of the finest big game hunting lands of the time. He crossed the Sotik River, proceeding to the Lakipia Hills, the area near Mt. Elgon, along the Athi and Tana Rivers and the Guaso Nyiro. His literary approach is through an examination of the various big game species such as lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, the antelopes, etc., then relating his sporting experiences. This book includes a 51 page guide to the Ki-Swahili language" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 285.
