Publisher's cloth in dust jacket, color pictorial endpapers. 8 1/8 x 5 5/8 inches; xiv, 273 pp.; frontispiece and plates after photographs, half-title. Price-clipped jacket a bit worn and toned with creases and loss to extremities, cloth rubbed and extremities bumped, lightly and evenly toned throughout.
"The author and her husband George farmed in Tanganyika, and she recounts adventures, hartebeest and zebra [sic]. Elephants were also collected, as were additional leopards and lions that preyed ont he couple's dairy herd. There is also a good chapter on Mrs. Boyd's encounter with a crocodile" (Czech).
