Antique Platinum-Topped Gold, Opal, Diamond, Demantoid Garnet and Pearl Butterfly Brooch
One oval opal ap. 7.50 cts., old European & single-cut diamonds 6.65 cts., 10 round & oval demantoid garnets, 6 colored & one white pearl, c. 1895, ap. 23.5 dwts. The pearls have not been tested.

Opal: white base color with flashes of green, yellow, orange on the front and now red/blue on the backside, moderate amount of play of color
Demantiod Garnets: lively, medium green color with strong saturation, lightly included, well matched
Diamonds: G-H-I/VS-SI
Colored Pearls (not tested): pink/purple/silver and shades in between, round shape, excellent luster
White Pearl (not tested): very lightly blemished, excellent luster
Overall in good condition, normal wear to metal.
