Carved in tamanu wood circa 1890; it was cast by Valsuani foundry in 1959 in an edition of 6 authorized by Mme. Agnès Huc de Montfreid, the representative of the Gauguin Estate at that time. This seated figure also appears in the woodcut Te Atua.
