Group of Five Chinese Snuff Bottles
Comprising a yellow and white overlay green glass example, of ovoid form, carved with two confronting sages standing beneath pine and wanton trees and amongst stylized rockwork; a yellow glass example of elongated ovoid form carved with monkeys; a glass example of rounded rectangular form, the emerald green glass with magenta inclusion and gold splashes and flecks, with bright turquoise undertones.; a white glass example carved on one side depicting two men in a sampan, the reverse with two men in various pursuits; flattened ovoid form, raised on a low oval foot, carved through the bright white and the semi-translucent green layer to the semi-translucent deep red ground, with undulating white vines issuing various gourds borne on leafy vines and stems. Height of tallest 2 1/2 inches.
