[LAMB, CHARLES] The New Year's Feast on his Coming of Age.
London: J. Harris and Son, 1824. First edition. Stitched in plain boards (not the printed boards), housed in a morocco case. 7 x 4 1/4 inches (18 x 11 cm); 24 pp., 12 hand-colored woodcut illustrations on 6 plates, ad leaf pasted to rear wrapper (Harris's List of 1s. 6d. Books Coloured, with 62 items listed not including this title). A few minor chips along spine, a few minor scuffs or small stains.
Provenance: Henry Frederick, 6th Marquess of Bath (bookplate to case); Marjorie Moon (bookplate to case); though the Moon copy we note was in a different binding.
A scarce title attributed to Charles Lamb, this work is a "versification of a prose publication, which appeared in the London Magazine, for January 1823." Moon 576; Osborne II, p. 653.
