19th Century, the needlework partially 16th/17th century
Each arched tall padded back above an overupholstered seat, raised on block-and-ring-turned legs joined by stretchers; the needlework with flowers and fruit, one back with a rearing centaur wearing a feathered headress and facing a 'green man' and a fruit-filled cornucopia. Height 46 1/2 inches (118.2 cm), width 19 inches (48.2 cm), depth 16 inches (40.7 cm).
