Of oval form with loop handle and two hinged apertures opening to a metal-lined interior and individual tôle receptacles for each bottle. Height 10 inches (25.4 cm), width 15 inches (38.1 cm), depth 9 1/2 inches (24.2 cm).

Possbily by Gillows, overall good condition and nice quality, tôle liners corroded but possibly original, old marks and scratches, minor separations to coopered body, commensurate with age and use, areas bordering brass slightly lighter in color, almost certainly from use of brass polish. An almost identical wine cooler was sold, Christie's, London, May 22, 2019, lot 2, and a similar larger model, Christie's, London, November 13, 2019, lot 254.
