Depicting a basket of peonies suspended by a bow-tied silk ribbon above a branch bearing peaches within a blue trellis border and silvered wood frame; oil on canvas. sight: 21 inches (53.3 cm) by 16 1/2 inches (41.9 cm), frame: 24 inches (61 cm) by 19 inches (48.3 cm).
The chinoiserie decoration of the present panel has stylistic similarities to that of the firm of Crace & Sons, which was responsible for the work at the Royal Pavilion at Brighton for the Prince of Wales.
