Pair of Russian Porcelain Plates with Views
Kornilov Manufactory, St. Petersburg, 1914-1917
Circular, one painted with a view of the Triumphal Gate at Tverskaya Zastava in Moscow, after Félix Benoist, the other with a view of the Kazan Cathedral from the rear facade, overlooking the Ekaterininsky Canal in St. Petersburg, after Timofey Vasilyev, each within a gilt cavetto and claret border centering a crowned initial S, printed manufactory marked under base. Diameter 10 1/2 inches (26.7 cm.).
