Régence Kingwood Parquetry, Ormolu-Mounted and Brass-Inlaid Commode
Second quarter 18th century
The Caunes gray marble serpentine top above a conforming case with two short over two long drawers, with scrolling feet; the left front corner stamped E D. Height 33 1/2 inches (85.1 cm), width 53 inches (134.6 cm), depth 24 inches (61 cm).
The stamp is possibly that of Étienne Doirat (d.1732).
