Two Roger Capron Glazed Ceramic Vases
Circa1965
One of molar form, decorated with alternating rows of orange, yellow, white and mottled cobalt and white colored tiles, against a white ground, signed CAPRON VALLAURIS A8, height 10 inches, diameter 9 1/4 inches; the other of flared cylindrical form, decorated with alternating vertical stripes in turquoise blue, white, black and sea-green, signed CAPRON VALLAURIS T, height 12 1/4 inches, diameter 7 1/2 inches.

Stripe Decorated Example: there is a large vertical hairline crack to the body, originating at the top rim edge that extends downwards approximately 3 1/2 inches in length; the interior is stained; there is a chip loss to the bottom rim edge of the vase; not blacklighted
