The large pig is decorated with clovers; two of the piglets are decorated with clovers and two of the piglets are decorated with roses
each appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition regarding the body, rim edges, etc., however, there is a somewhat large-size shallow flake loss to the glaze and ceramic body located beneath the front right hoof on the large pig, along the right rim edge area; there is a small patch located on the large pig's left ear (near the top inner side of the ear) where there is an absence of glaze, apparently in the making, and therefore not of great consequence; each has uniform fine crazing to the glaze; the large pig has scattered yellow (straw-colored) spot staining beneath the glaze, and some of the piglets also have this scattered spot stain discoloration beneath the glaze; each is signed on the underside in green: Wemyss Ware.
